London, June 19th, 2026 — ToffeeX, the leader in physics-driven generative design, today announced that Dr. Dipankar Choudhury has joined the company as a Strategic Advisor. One of the founding engineers behind Fluent (the software that became the world’s most widely used CFD platform) and a long-tenured senior leader at Ansys and Synopsys, Dipankar brings rare depth across computational fluid dynamics, multiphysics simulation, HPC, and AI/ML, as well as the technical vision and commercial instincts that have shaped decades of progress in the engineering software industry.
The appointment comes as ToffeeX deepens its integration into the Ansys ecosystem with its recently launched plug-in for Ansys Discovery, which enables engineering teams in aerospace, energy, and automotive to run physics-driven generative design and real-time simulation side by side within a single connected workflow, without replacing the CAE tools they already rely on.

Dipankar’s career spans the full arc of modern simulation technology. He was among the handful of engineers who co-founded Fluent and helped build it from a startup into the global leader in CFD software, ultimately serving as its Chief Technology Officer. When Ansys acquired Fluent in 2006, he joined the combined organisation. He went on to hold senior leadership roles, including VP of Product Strategy, VP of Research, Chief Technologist, and Ansys Fellow — the highest distinction the company bestows on its technologists.
During that time, he co-led the development of GPU-accelerated computing. He played a key role in launching real-time simulation-driven capabilities for early-stage design exploration, initiatives that remain central to how engineering teams approach simulation today. He subsequently continued his leadership journey at Synopsys.
